Crib Safety Tips
If you take the nursery ready for a new baby to her, the costs can add up fast. It is tempting to find cheap crib, to try to buy a few cut corners. But remember – a good nursery can be expensive, but your baby is irreplaceable. It is important to remember though that you can not simply assume that more money for a manger to ensure that it is safe – you observe the following safety advice in order to be safe.
Weight and dimensions
When you go shopping, take in a manger;a tape measure with you. A few things you should consider include:
– Distance between the side plates should be less than 2.38 cm at the top to prevent entrapment
– Top rail should be at least 26 inches above the lowest level mattress
– All decorative cutouts should be less than 2.38 inches, but make sure they are big enough not to trap your fingers
It is helpful if your crib has an adjustable base so that you lower the mattress level, you can guarantee your Baby becomes more mobile. If your child can pull up to standing, then the mattress at the lowest possible setting should be. It is also important to measure the crib against the amount of your child. Once the top rail is less than 3 / 4 of its height, the crib is too small.
Choosing a mattress
It is always best to choose a firm mattress. If the mattress is in a position, there should be no gaps between the> Mattress and the side of the crib. Try to slide two fingers between them – if you can use your fingers between the crib and mattress, the mattress is too small to fit, too. The right bedding
